Dark Walnut, Rust-Oleum Stain + Polyurethane Semi-Gloss -330054, Quart

First time using this product and it's interesting stuff! I made some plywood shelving for a closet and was looking for a one-step type of product to add some color to the wood. I ordered the dark walnut color to match my darker flooring. Item was shipped to my home and arrived fast. Can had a few dents but lid was sealed and nothing leaked. Upon opening the can I was initially shocked because it looked eggplant purple!!!! I thought I had made a huge mistake or there was something wrong with it. I proceeded to mix thoroughly with a stir stick and noticed where it touched the wooden stir stick, a brown color was starting to develop. It's a thin gel consistency, not too runny and not too thick. I used an inexpensive paint brush to apply a nice even layer on the shelves, following the grain of the wood. The product applies evenly and goes on really nice! As you apply it you will see the color change from the purple tone to a nice brown as it soaks in and starts to dry. Make sure to watch your edges for heavy spots or drips as it will dry darker than the other areas. You can lightly sand and apply another coat if needed. For my needs I was very pleased with one coat!!
