Extreme accuracy and flawless repeatability.

I was a little intimidated by the sketchy installation instructions and reviews critical of them. In the end, installation on my Delta Unifence was easy to figure out and went well using only the provided components. There was no need to fabricate brackets for the rail. The rail is slightly longer than my fence rail so, for safety' rather than cut the rail I put rubber crutch tips on the exposed ends In use the item is flawless. To zero I cut a piece of wood to a random width and measured it with a digital caliper. I then set the readout to the measured dimension. I n the two months I've had the instrument I've used it to make at least 50 rip cuts of various widths with absolute accuracy. Repeat cuts made with the readout returned to an earlier setting were perfect. No trial cuts needed, no mismatched parts. Of course, precision work is possible without this tool, and it is a bit costly, but for me it's worth the price.
