It's great for Christmas lights. That's what I used it for but it did take a while to get it untangled once we opened it from the package even though it was wrapped up it was still tangled so maybe they should put some type of device where they wrap it around so it doesn't get as easily, but other than that it's great. It starts to know your pattern of when you turn on and off the lights and it turns on at the same time after a while. Favorite setting is fade The remote is easy to use. Definitely worth the buy.
