Surprisingly sturdy for how light it is!

I was really skeptical at first, especially with the plastic surface of the boards. However, it really works quite well with regular chalk! You may want to "prime" the surface with a light application of chalk first, but it's worked splendidly after that! It's surprisingly solid, holding up way better than we expected for the price. It's also really light. The small hinges actually hold it in place incredibly well.
