Better Homes and Gardens Ultimate Light Blocker 100 Percent Blackout Tiffany Window Curtain

The white curtains are beautiful AND block all light! My daughter wakes up at even a hint of light shining in and these truly block all light.

I live in an apartment with security lights right outside my bedroom window. I was looking for a total light blocking curtain and tried several others (from walmart and high end bed and bath stores) and none did the job well. These are fantastic! Total light blocking. Yes, lights comes in at the top and on the sides, that is to be expected, but they block all light from the window. I secured the ends of the curtains to the wall with double sided tape (no one has noticed) to eliminate the light coming in from the sides. I don't mind the light from the top since its minimal and acts like a night light, giving me just enough light so that I don't run into the wall when I get up at night. I would have ordered the longer set (95' length) and hung the curtains above the top of the window to reduce the light coming in at the top if they had been available at the time I needed them. The material looks expensive and hangs well. There is a thick pad in the back of the curtain but it does not affect how the curtains drape. It does retain water when washed so I recommend having a towel nearby to avoid getting water all over the place. As for sound reducing, I have not noticed a significant reduction, but I live on a busy street. It does help with keeping the room cool/warm. There is a noticeable difference in temperature in the bedroom versus the rest of the house. Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for blackout curtains. Have realistic expectations, however, nothings is 100% blackout, but these are the best I found so far. For the cost, these are exceptional.
