I was a little skeptical buying this at first because it’s online only and I couldn’t actually see the quality of the tv stand. But after reading the other reviews, I decided to go for it - and I’m so glad I did!!! It is even better quality than my bookshelves from Target. It is extremely heavy (145 pds), because it’s not flimsy or that cheap compressed wood. The design quality is amazing, also! It looks gorgeous and rivals any decor you’d buy in a speciality store for $600 . I also love how it’s “antiqued” around the corners, which allows for knicks and wears overtime, and it still look good. Definitely worth it for the money! You can also fit two rows of books or movies on each shelfs, so it’s great for storage, too.

I purchased this knowing the color would be too yellow and decided I would use chalk paint on it to g the white I wanted because for the price it was worth it. For $100 more I saw the same piece in white with a gray top on amazon a few days later and thought maybe I made a mistake. I decided to order to for my living room to put in the cutouts on each side of my living room. They arrived well packed and no damage in heavy boxes. The “white” was a very dingy depressing yellowed beige. (Think old 70’s appliances). I used Painters tape on the glass parts of the front door. Watched a few YouTube videos on how to get a nice finish with chalk paint (key is to use wet synthetic brush and water down paint and use extra fine sand paper in between coats and finish with clear wax) I used the waverly brand of chalk paint from Walmart. I decided to paint the pieces before I assembled. It took me a full day for each console and was able to paint both with 1 bottle of white mixed with one bottle of Plaster (off white to get the color I wanted.) I opted not to paint the top and leave it the original color for contrast. I also bought some glass frost paint for the inside windows so it concealed the things inside the cabinets. The cabinets have a locking system versus screws which is great if I ever want to disassemble and move. I put them together all by myself. They are extremely sturdy and the extra $30 in paint supplies and a little bit of patience and effort made them exactly what I wanted versus spending $600-1200 per console that most are going for. If you like the cabinet in other colors it’s worth it, if you are looking for them in “white” you will be disappointed in the dingy beige color they come in but if you’re on a budget and still want quality and willing to put in a little effort they paint like a dream and look amazing transformed!
