It's easy to make your own hummingbird nectar feeder with these attractive, foolproof feeder tubes that are SELF-CLOSING to avoid drips! Use any type bottle, jar or other container that is suitable for liquid and has an appropriate size opening. Old wine bottles, liquid soap containers and pop bottles often work well. You can also use glass jars with lids. Just drill a hole in the lid and insert the feeder. Potters will find these feeder tubes perfect for designing a handmade feeder. The stopper is tapered and measures 15/16" at the top and 5/8" at the bottom. Overall height when installed vertically is approx. 2-3/4 inches and overall width about 3-1/4 inches. The curved plastic tube has a red rubber tip to attract hummingbirds. PLEASE NOTE the following for best results: Fill the container full, invert it quickly to prevent air from entering the container, make sure that the rubber stopper fits tightly into your container and hang your feeder vertically.
