While the stone for a gold chain is supposed to be a light green, this looks yellow. Initially I thought it was because of the yellow sweater I was wearing. I tried putting it next to something that is actually green to see if it changes it's hue. It does not. The “emerald” appearing stone is yellow.

The stone connects to the necklace chain and I was not able to move it to another position unless I am missing something. The stone lays a little to one side of the necklace when it is put on as compared to the catch closing in the back of neck.
