Embrace control solution is formulated specifically to work with Embrace blood glucose meters. The test between the two ensures that the meter and test strip are working together to provide accurate and precise readings. A control solution test should be performed when: (1) using the meter for the first time, (2) using a new vial of Embrace blood glucose test strips, (3) you left the test strip bottle open for a while, (4) you dropped the meter, (5) you suspect your meter and test strips are not working properly, or (6) when blood glucose test results do not reflect how you feel.
