It's a beautiful piece... Realistic fire, wood looks like mahogany. It might not be real wood... But for us Po folk, it looks real enough. Patience is a virtue for putting it together...4 hours. Easy, but slow. Do yourself a favor and but a small bottle of elmer's wood glue for the dowels( wood pins) I'm happy with it, and came very well packaged.
