Just arrived today-no, it's not leather, but it's sturdy, has great storage inside (zippered middle pouch, separating a roomy section on either side, and two small open "pockets" on one side of the interior. Purse zippers closed for safety. Open pockets on each side of the purse, which I love! Hard to find feature: 4 metal "brads" on purse bottom corners, that protect purse when sat down. Eliminates "wear and tear". Longer strap that's removable if you want to carry on your shoulder. I LOVE this purse! Not too big, not too small.
