These tree guards come with a pack of 40 Zip Ties including everything you need for installation. Both the Tree Protectors and the Zip Ties are UV treated to prevent deterioration by sunlight exposure. The biggest advantage that these tree protectors have over competing products is the small durable mesh. To be helpful yet not harmful to the tree, a tree protector needs to offer good ventilation and not build up moisture, while still offering enough protection for the tree trunk. Other tree wraps or tubes hold moisture that will harbor insects, disease, and rot. Other mesh tree bark protectors that have too large of openings still offer vulnerable access to the tree.
