One of the best games for the DS.

This game is nearly perfect in every way. 1. Price. Only $30.00 is an unbelievable price for such a great game. 2. Multiple skills to level up. 3. Large variety of weapons. 4. Non cookie cutter family characters. 5. Nice story, especially with an E rating. Though if made more T it probably would have been better. 6. Not just farming and battling. You can do almost anything from, crafting, smithing, fishing, cooking, magic, mining, and much more. 7. Beautiful world artwork. Those who played FF7 will flash back to this. 8. My game lagged during two big boss battles, even with that short lag it still takes nothing away from it. 9. Every cave is different with its own climate for planting crops, grass, flowers, etc. 10. Monsters. You can capture monsters for a variety of reasons. They can work on your farm saving you loads of time, provide you with milk, honey, etc., or they can battle along side you. RPG fans or anyone who thinks this game sounds interesting, get it! This is an excellent game that I fill beats out alot of next-gen games.

Fun For All Ages.

I've been playing the Harvest Moon series for as long as I can remember. Every incarnation of it has proven to me that a game doesn't have to be violent or lewd to be great. I found myself engrossed in the world and I love the option to draw on the screen, it's a great way to inspire creativity. Storyline wise, this game is awesome. There is much to do, much to discover, and much to learn. The most beautiful aspect of this game, however, is a chance to be what YOU want to be. If you want to be a farmer, fine, you can be. If you want to drink a lot, that's okay, too. Or, if you're like me, you farm for about, oh, thirty minutes game time and then you walk around town a bit and get to know your town and its inhabitants. The fighting aspect, while not particularly innovative, is still awesome and reminds me slightly of the game Ragnarok. The possibilities are endless! See if you can find everything there is to do. Challenge yourself and you'll find that this game is charming, fun, and overall a great game. Two thumbs way up!

Great game!

My fiance bought this game after seeing me play it for few days. It's very addicting. I have previously played Harvest Moon on Gamecube - and this is not like the other game I have played. (I did love the other also.) Instead of being a normal game, where most everything is about farming, there's also an RPG element involved. Farming is key to surviving and advancing in the game - but you also must "adventure" through caves in order to advance. All-in-all, a wonderful RPG. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys RPG's, and would like something a little different.
