other than needing to cut a substantial bit of the tip off.......when gluing a woodstove gasket, i've discovered that less is NOT more, and it's better to have a thick squeeze than a skinny one (think like squeezing toothpaste......more is good). i've found that removing the door from the stove and being able to lay it flat (remember the days of having a carburetor on the kitchen table) makes it soooooooooo much easier. and don't flatten the gasket.....
