I'm in the senior group, (old). Electric blankets are good but some of us get cold spots, like knees and hips. A blanket doesn't work on those areas but an electric mattress pad does. I'm able to set the heat and the time but if I wake up because of a cold spots I can turn on the heated pad and get instant heat where I need it.

Perfect for periphery neuropathy or cold feet!

This thing is amazing! My spouse has peripheral neuropathy and cannot stand any thing to touch his feet. I have poor circulation and my feet are ALWAYS cold. We can now preheat the bed so it's perfect for both of us. No more of him waking up after 3 hours freezing, (the heating pad he was using only stayed on for 2 hours) and no more heavy blankets on my side of the bed to cover my feet. The mattress pads 6 heat levels and time settings, (2,4,8,or 10 hours!) have turned our bed back into a haven. It's so thin but so stinking soft. You just have to try it to believe how comfortable it is. Thank you
