I ordered a size 8 and 1/2 shoe there was a little bit of extra room between my foot and the heel of the shoe. I did not stand for long periods of time in them so I don't know how well they held up there. For the most part they were fairly comfortable. I wore them to a butterfly ball. I would recommend.
