I decided to go ahead and buy my case this year before the phone released. That's how much confidence I have in the defender series. When you go to resale you phone and you advertise it's been and a Otterbox Defender series case. It's normally Already sold before you haggle with the final price. Plus I've tried other cases, but I always come back to this one. May add a little size to the phone but it's worth it.

Defender has always been the best!

Defender has always been the best! I think this is the 4th one I've had. I'm a tech guy, and sometime clumsy one, at that. Always setting my phone down and knocking off the equipment I'm working on or propping it up in a rack and it falling out, or having my phone fall off a ladder. Never had any damage to my phone when protected by the Defender. I even had a horse, a Clydesdale at that, step on my phone with no significant damage (only a couple of dents where the horse's shoe left it's mark across the edges of the case). No question, when I update my phone, I always order a new Otter Defender case.
