The Membrain Continuous Air barrier works well for me. I am replacing the old insulation in my basement. While the craft paper side of the new insulation needs to face the interior wall, the Membrain Barrier allows me to protect the raw insulation side that is exposed to traffic in and out of the basement. It provides all the benefits of clear plastic sheeting without the downside of actually using clear plastic sheeting.
