Allen Sports Easy Load Deluxe 2-Bike Hitch Rack for 1 1/4" and 2" Hitch, XR200

Was not going to buy due to all the negative reviews but saw the positive review and decided to take a risk since the price was right and figure I could modify it if required. Ended up it is a great rack and just took my bike from Pittsburgh to Charleston SC. If you are not handy then find someone to put it together for you. There are pins on the parts that slide in and out to keep if from pulling out too far. They are not required but nice to have. Had to remove them and bend them slightly so that they would protrude out of the hole when the slide is pulled out too far. The plastic parts are not load bearing and just keep the slides from moving so very little force is require. The tightening knob is not threaded in plastic. There is a small steel nut in the plastic. The sliding parts requires a little bit of finesse to get them to fit into one another but once in they slide nicely. The instructions are rather vague for which direction the Anti_Sway bolt goes in. The shoulder of the bolt must press against the steel side and not the shim side which is made of plastic. The instructions kind of shows it the wrong way. With the bolt in the correct way there is almost no sway. Most of the complaint that I see from what I can tell is from improperly assembling this rack. The company needs to have a video showing exactly how this rack needs assembled. So if you are not mechanically inclined and have no one that is then I would stay away, otherwise it is a great rack for the money.
