Great expansion to a great story

You will need the previous Final Fantasy 14 base game to play this expansion pack. The storyline and dungeons in this game are a great continuation to an already fun game. This one expansion holds tens of hours of content and brings some wholesome changes and updates to the existing classes as well as two new classes that are just as fun. For anyone who has played Final Fantasy 14 and the previous expansion, I highly recommend this one as well.

Amazingly fun!

The first weekend after Early Access went live, the servers were pretty much shot. This happens, and can't really be helped much. That aside, the expansion, the storyline, the gameplay itself... we've received so many new things and a completely new story, that it feels like we pretty much got a stand-alone game that could've supported itself, but at the price for an expansion. Yoshi-P and the FFXIV crew put so much time and effort into this game, and it shows through everything you can do in-game. I've had a blast playing through 4.0, and can't wait till the next update!!

A counter

Just wanted to counter the other 'review' here. Don't judge an entire expansion of an MMO on a clunky launch. 99% of MMO's have issues the first day or two. The game is running perfectly most of the time, don't 1 star something just because you had a problem. This is an awesome addition to an awesome series.
