I love my new bed frame. It's sturdy and it also sits higher then my last bed

Attractive, but...

I give it 2 stars because it is an attractive bed and very easy to assemble. Also, because the damaged side rail is being replaced quickly. However, the headboard also had minor damage on a top corner when delivered. Furthermore, when I researched if it had bed slats, it was said yes, but that's not entirely accurate. It only has 3 support slats. It needs vertical slats for basic use without a box spring. There are 3 legs that support the slats that do not reach the floor and caused the bed to sink in the middle. The offset weight caused the other bed-rail support to break off and all three legs off ripped from the slats. I ordered a new metal support system that I hope will fix the problem but that was an additional $80, plus the $60 vertical slats. I've had to dismantle the bed until those come in. If that does not fix the issues, I'll be cutting my losses and buying a new bed.

Slats make this bed dangerous!

The slats are so cheap that they are snapping into like twigs. Where they are supposed to be screwed into the frame it's busted part of the frame as well. The frame itself is a beautiful frame and made well, that seems sturdy, for the money but the slats are a MAJOR down fall. The first night we got to sleep in the bed we fell straight to the floor! I would not recommend this bed to even a kid! It's very dangerous.
