The phone is super thin, and I have had no overheating issues. I hate it for people who've had their screen crack upon dropping it just once. My iPhone did that while in a nice case!! It depends on where the phone hits when it falls. I get great reception, and it is responsive when opening and using apps. I, too, have experienced 2 second delays at times, but it doesn't keep me from really enjoying the phone.

The LG keyboard has the microphone icon hidden. To the left of the spacebar you'll see a gear icon. Hold it (long press) until a window pops up with a microphone icon you can press. OR... To change the default tap Settings / Language & Keyboard / LG Keyboard -Multiple languages / Keyboard height & layout / QWERTY keyboard layout / drag gear icon (Settings key) below edge / drag it back to left of spacebar / choose microphone as default function. You will want to download "Offline speech recognition" for US English under Google Voice Typing as well. The "OK Google" detection in all apps must be setup while online & logged in so you can train it. Works fine offline after. Google Text To Speech Settings is where you'll install voice data. I like US and UK for variety.
