Kwikset's SmartKey is a technological innovation that allows you to control who has access to your home. SmartKey provides flexibility of re-keying your own lock in three simple steps, without removing it from your door. SmartKey provides superior security with an ANSI Grade 1 deadbolt and offers Bump Guard for protection against lock bumping. Key it Yourself: Lock is rekeyable by using the included learn tool in less than 30 seconds without removing the lock from the door. A Single Cylinder Handleset requires a key to lock and unlock from the exterior and features a thumbturn on the interior side of the deadbolt to lock and unlock. Exterior ONLY!!
If you just need the exterior handle and deadbolt get this. If you need the whole set including the inside door knob do not get this. My inside door knob is failing, it's stripped and barely hanging on. I was pretty disappointed when I opened the box and seen this was just the exterior handle. The one thing I needed the most wasn't included. That's my fault for not reading. I assumed with it being $85 it would have a door knob with it like the ones on Amazon do. I'm trying to save someone from doing what I did:)
Amazing style
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kwikset belleview handleset with lock is so stylish and adds a great look to your door. I like that you can re-key your house if something would happen like loosing your key, you have different keys for each door. Re-key the lock yourself without removing the door, having all doors on the same key and you can re-key as often as you want. Easy to install by yourself, one tool installation plus it fits all standard doors. Easy to line up for installation. I had no trouble installing this handleset and lock.
Great product and customer service
My home came with a kwikset handleset. I have had it since 11 years. Recently the latch broke and I dropped an email to their warranty service will all details. They were quick to respond and mailed me a replacement latch that i was easily able to put in. I highly recommend this product due to its durability and great customer service.
