Santa Fe Mission Tall Bunk Bed Twin over Twin - Attached Ladder - Multiple Finishes with Under Bed Drawers

We purchased 2 sets of these tall bunk beds for our condo in the mountains. We have 3 grandkids, 8, 5-1/2 and 2 years old. The beds are well constructed and will last for many years. My only complaint is that the ladder rungs are very narrow and very difficult for me to get up and down to make beds! We have put a non-skid tape on the rungs as the 5-1/2 year old found them slippery. If you have the floor space I would highly recommend a ladder that is to the floor giving you an angled climb up, as opposed to the vertical ladder. We purchased 6-inch memory foam mattresses, and have pretty good head room in the lower bunk. There is a support that runs the length of the upper bunk to support the slats, and it was a head banger with a 9-inch mattress!

I ordered these bunk beds for our grandchildren and although they have not yet visited to test them out I can say from putting the beds together that they are extremely well made - heavy wood and quality bolts etc used to assemble. Very solid and very nice looking. I put the beds together myself although it said it takes two people. The only time I needed someone was when lifting the top bunk to put it on top of the bottom bunk. The slats will work great for support on the beds. Every piece and hardware was with the three boxes they shipped in. Not a scratch or problem with anything at all ! Just need to order mattresses ! So very happy with the look of the bunks and happy to have such a good experience with hayneedle since I've never ordered from them before. Also shipped sooner than it said and I received the beds in three days - would highly recommend these bunks. I am hoping I can add the trundle at some point as needed -
