Lukas Berlin oil fine water-mixable artist oil paints in premium quality. The use of precious artist's pigments and the high pigment concentration guarantee excellent lightfastness and exceptional colour intensity. As a binding agent, modified linseed oils are used in special quality. In order to enable water mixability without affecting the other properties of the oil colour such as drying time, brilliance and malleability, a special process was developed to modify the oils that guarantees a practically waterproof (colour) film structure. Therefore, they dry completely like a pure oil paint. The drying time is for all colours between 5 and 7 days. The oil paints contain a small amount of beeswax, which leads to buttery-consistency and the typical silky gloss. No traditional solvents are used. Thus, the Lukas Berlin oil paints are a real alternative for people with solvent allergies and for the school sector as well as for professional painters. The water-mixable oil paints can be used for all known techniques of oil painting: "wet in wet" painting, glazing, working in layers etc. There is no difference to traditional oil paint. They can also be mixed with acrylic or gouache colours as well as airbrush paints. When mixing with plenty of water, even watercolour effects are possible.
