Uxcell 1/2PT Male to 1/2PT Female Shower Extension Arm 50mm Length Stainless Steel 2 Pack

I purchased this item because I needed an extention off my inline shower filter in order to attach my shower head which has a unique bracket to hold the hand shower and interfered with the filter body not allowing it to be installed. I received these in good order, fast. They are very nice in appearance. This is where it ends. These are NOT true 1/2 National Pipe Thread (NPT). There is a lot of "slop" in the threads. In fact, when these are screwed together there is "slop" between the two. The female end will accommodate washers, which multiple were needed because the female cavity is deeper than average. You will also have to be very, very generous on the amount of plumbers tape that you use that the "slop" is taken away and the pieces don't leak. In doing this, I had no problems with any leakage. They functioned as required. Just remember, these are NOT true 1/2 NPT and be very, very generous with the plumbers tape. You might even have to use plumbers compound depending on your application. This is why I rated them only three (3) stars. Most folks will get frustrated trying to make these not leak.
