Confusing waterproof rating

Website saying it's "waterproof". On the tag, one side says "Waterproof", but the other side says "water repellent palm"

Awesome Glove. Not cold weather worthy though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought for really cold days in Nebraska. Seemed to have all the right specs. However within 5 minutes of wearing them my fingertips were freezing. Did not expect it to happen with these gloves. Maybe something wrong with glove material. Not sure. Very unhappy with wear results. Need fingers to be warm not frost bitten.

Conflict in advertising, two counts

I received these gloves today. Online and on one side of the package is states they are "waterproof"...Omni-hydrophobic or something. On the other side it says the leather is "water resistant". Soooo...will only the leather soak up water and will the rest of the glove be waterproof, not counting the leather palms? Half dry gloves are not what most people want in single degree temperatures. Fits well, colors as advertised but not sure if I can risk the iffy waterproof issue. Also, free shipping is not availble at this time due to "system problems" per Artificial Customer Service robot.
