Arydian Chronicles Aqua, Book 1, (Paperback)

I couldn't bring myself to put this book down. The mix between action and romance was well balanced, and I found myself on the edge of my seat as these storylines progressed. The plot twists were wonderfully placed and hinted at in a way that frustrated me because I didn't see them coming. The main character, Marin, came off as a little dim, but it was consistent. That, paired with the few scenes not focusing on her, developed a dramatic irony, further pushing me to the edge of my seat. I'm currently reading the second book and can't put that one down either. Anyone who likes a touch of fantasy or science fiction in a real-world setting rather than delving head first into those genres would love this series.
