A new go-to pan

Recently spent a lot of money on a glass cook top, only to read recommendations that I NOT use my heavy enameled cast iron Dutch oven on it. Very sadly, I put it away and searched for an acceptable replacement. So far, I've been very happy with the Calphalon Tri-Ply Dutch oven. It's sturdy, not nearly as heavy as the old pan, and is currently simmering a balsamic chicken dish for supper. I like the glass cover so I can check on progress without lifting the lid. It's the quality I expect from Calphlon.

Calphalon Tri-Ply Best Ever

When 55 years old you have had to analyze pots and pans for a very long time. This product I bought in a set in 2010 and just added this to that set for I LOVE the product. Ease of WASH, WEIGHT of products, RARELY STICKs or BURNs, puts a crust on fried foods. Product should be sold in every store in USA. Amazing, do not put in dishwasher, yet so easy to clean and when you put cold water in a hot pan does not WARP. Pretty much the analysis we have all lived when reviewing and using others inventions in the kitchen. Almost forgot; already have used for over 10 years and that is with daily use and I believe I still have another 20 years before I would need to replace any pots or pans. Buying the Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless Steel in a set still appears to be the most cost effective manner to purchase this product.
