Over the years, Dorit has developed a style uniquely her own, yet influenced by the work of Bolivian artist, Boulanger, as well as cubists such as Picasso and Braque. The flow of color and images, the joy of life, the movement of figures all stem from her life experiences. Though Israeli-born, Dorit has lived in Africa, and Iran as well. Africa, with its vast warm savannahs, can be felt in her use of warm, bright colors. Iran, with the colorful markets of Teheran and its people in embroidered garb, imbue her images and background compositions with their enchanted oriental feeling. Her works are on display in various galleries and collections throughout the world, including Israel, the Dorit’s works are remarkable for their use of gold leaf and the enormous attention to detail and complex composition. The viewer discovers new aspects and configurations in her works each time afresh.
