I punched a queen size to put on a bed with the mattress having a 12" thickness accompanied by a 5" thick box spring... It is a quality quilt type top cover... I'm using it as a comforter would be used...The dark blue color shown is on point as well as the size... It's just the right thickness for all season's by adding an extra blanket in the winter and only a flat sheet added during the sumer... It's doing a great job durning this brutally cold winter, living on a lake in Michigan and it's going be the perfect thickness during the dramaticly hotter tempters during the Michigan summer with only the flat sheet... Highly recommended...
