Senokot used to be by prescription only. While traveling overseas, a friend made me stop to get some OTC in Thailand, knowing that women alway get constipated while traveling. After 6 days of "not going", I bought some. Problem solved. Now that it is available in the US OTC, I am overjoyed. I used this daily which is not recommended. But because of various prescription drugs I am on, I am frequently constipated. I have told my doctors that I take this daily and they have never commented, so I continue to take it.
