6542 (M2) high speed steel tap and drill bit set offers excellent heat resistance and hardness for durability and longevity, and good cutting performance. Uncoated thread tap is great for a wide range of applications.
Black oxide coating on drill bits improves durability, corrosion resistance and lubricity, and helps reduce friction and heat, extending tool life. Twist drill bit has good cutting edges and large spiral grooves, which provide neat and smooth cuts and facilitate the export of metal chips.
Straight flute tap can process through holes or shallow blind holes, with downward chip removal, clear threads, no burrs, right-hand cutting, and fast and accurate tapping. Suitable for most metals, cast iron, aluminum, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, bronze and hard plastics.
Machine taps are used in drill presses, tapping, CNC and milling machines. Use with appropriate lubricant (such as cutting fluid or oil) to get higher quality threads and more durable tap & drill bit. Not recommended for hand use and electric drill tapping.

Tips:

Drill holes with a twist drill bit first, then tap with a thread tap. The tapping and drilling angle should be 90 degrees vertical and stable. The higher the hardness, the slower the speed.
The tapping depth should not exceed 1.5 times the diameter of the tap (for example, the diameter M5x0.8 is about 5mm, and the depth should not exceed 7.5mm.)
