Hydrox Cookies 13oz, 27 cookies per Tray

I grew up in a Hydrox household. My dad wouldn't touch Oreos. As a kid, I'd eat any cookie without raisins in it, but even I knew that Hydrox were better than Oreo. Hydrox was the first cream sandwich cookie, making its debut in 1908. Oreo didn't come along until 1912, the young upstarts! Hydrox is crisper and doesn't dissolve immediately in milk like Oreos. It has a more chocolatey taste, and it's made with natural sugar and no high fructose corn syrup. The name Hydrox is a portmanteau of hydrogen and oxygen, because the original makers wanted to convey the purity of their product, and they believed nothing conveyed that better than water (H2O). They were even designated as kosher, although it's not currently mentioned on their website. If you like sandwich cookies, these are the first and still best.

Surprisingly, they taste like they did in my childhood. I always preferred these to Oreos. In my opinion, Oreos taste like sugar and Hydrox taste like chocolate!
