I love this purchase! The navy blue is absolutely beautiful, even better than my expectation. It's made really well and will stand the test of time with common sense use. When I get an item with zippers, I test them out immediately. These zippers passed the test. I would like to add a little zipper 101 here in saying that you should never yank, tug or force any zipper in haste. Take your time with any zipper and treat it with care and it will reward you by working as it should. I say this because the mechanism of the bottom zipper that expands the bag will need a little bit of TLC as the extra material involved can get into the zipper track if you don't just take a little second to use your other hand to gently push the needed (for expanding the bags capacity) extra material out of the way to zip and unzip. The bag expansion is a feature that I love so I have no problem taking an extra minute to use this zipper with a little extra caution. Also, if you do want to use the expansion with the shoe pouch you will probably want to pack towels or clothes or whatever a little bit underneath the shoe pouch to level it out a little better. This won't be a worry at all unless you're putting sharp sports cleats in the shoe pouch. The shoe pouch is very sturdy for all other shoes and it won't be a problem to pack stuff underneath it. Another thing I wondered about was if my shampoo bottles would fit in the extra toiletries bag. They did! It also clips to the main bag nicely with the shoulder strap clips if I don't want to carry it separately. When all is said and done, I highly recommend this great little set!
