Remodel Installation

We were replacing the fixtures on our roman bathtub including the underneath manifold. When the installation contractor went to put it in he found the spacing of our existing faucets was 8" while the Caldwell 86440 set was 10". He had to cut and solder the manifold to make it fit. I think the box ought to show that's it's for a 10" spacing and will need to be modified for an existing 8" installation. The good part was that our contractor did not charge us for the modification.
