The unit is

The unit is beefier than the OEM clutch. The supplied instructions were spot on. The one minor point that would make installation slightly easier is an addition 2 inches in length on the cable harness. This would be icing on the cake. Delivery was extremely fast. I’ll be ordering a clutch in the spring for my zero-turn mower.

I like the

I like the clutch; it seems to meet or exceed the quality of the original. My old John Deere X540 had a little over 1100 hours on it when the clutch began failing. I expect to put 1000 hours on this clutch, and the first five hours have gone well. I have around thirty cycles on the new clutch. As any mechanic will tell you, an old clutch can be difficult to remove, and mine required some creative tools to remove without cooking the crankshaft seals or damage to the crankshaft. Installation of the new clutch required more creativity to accommodate my 70 year old joints. I spent over six hours on the swap, but my old joints easily cut my efficiency in half.
