First off, let me say this, I've read a plethora of others reviews on here, and let me tell you, if you have issues with your cup not keeping things cold, or condensation, reach out to the company and let them know. There will always be some that don't make it through quality control and just plain suck. As for the straw, just return it to the store and get one that isn't messed up. I've owned MANY different cups over the years. I was even gifted a Yeti one year for christmas. While it is a great cup for coffee, it can't compare to this one at all for cold stuff. I have about 6 or 7, and not one of them has any issues except when someone knocked off my cart at work and the lid cracked. I'm not gonna complain about being I didn't pay full price (it was on clearance). I can always go to Walmart.com and order another one in the color I want. And yes, they are leakproof as some have said they weren't. Never had an issue unless I left the straw in it and put it in my backpack, or accidentally forgot to latch the lid closed. I won't buy another cup ever. Being a Wal-Mart employee, I've bought quite a few different cups from my store.

Beautiful! So shimmery in the sun and bright rooms. Keeps ice for hours and hours. When the straw is out, you can flip it upside down and it doesn't leak. If you shake it while upside down, it will leak a bit. So it is leak resistant, not proof.
