Cooking Directions: Combine 1 cup Botan Brown Rice and 1-1/2 to 2 cups water in a medium saucepan. Soak rice in water for 30 minutes before cooking. By preference, add salt, butter, cheese or other flavoring. Bring to a soft boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 55 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat. Let stand covered for 10 minutes before serving. Makes 2-1/2 cups cooked rice, or 4 servings, about 2/3 cups each. Note: If you are using an electric rice cooker, combine 1 cup brown rice and 1-1/2 to 2 cups water in electric rice cooker pot. Continue as directed by rice cooker manufacturer. When cooking is complete, allow rice to stand covered 10 minutes before servings. Makes 2-1/2 cups cooked rice. This bag has microscopic holes, to let the rice breathe. It is not water proof.
