ghd Curve Classic Curl Iron 1 in

I own the classic straightener from GHD for almost 10 years and still have no problems. I know it's all over YouTube of how you can use the straightener to curl your hair but I can't do it. I can't curl the back of my hair with it so I've patiently waiting for GHD to come out with a curling iron. I've gone through about 1 curling iron a year. They dry my hair out so bad because in order for it to curl my hair, I have to set it on the highest heat setting. There was one that burnt my hair too and I'm never using that brand ever again. Anyhow, I know this one doesn't have a heat setting but honestly, I don't understand why you'd need it. I turn it on and within seconds, it tells me the iron is ready to go. I literally curled all my hair in under 10 minutes. I have thick, long and a lot of hair. Normally, it takes at least 20-30 minutes to curl my hair because I would have to hold it for about 20-30 seconds each section so the curl forms. This one, I followed the instruction and held it for 6-8 seconds and it's curled. If I don't wash my hair, the curls last about 2 days. The curls will of course, get less curly each day but I do a couple of touch ups and I'm good to go. My hair is not dry and it's really soft. I can still run my fingers through my hair. Now I'm debating if I should try the new Eclipse straightener because I heard it's much faster than the classic.
