I have dry, dehydrated, and sensitive skin. I was hesitant to try a roller due to the sensitive nature of my face (was worried I might be too rough and cause burst capillaries).
I decided to give it a try as I saw people talk about how it helped them with their product applications, and I always find myself quickly getting tired, daunted, and bored when I use my fingers to spread product.
I found their comments to be true from personal experiences. I found that the gentle pressure from the roller helps penetrate my products further (especially when dealing with exhausting products like oil that take forever to rub in). And on that note I found that the roller definitely sped up the application process since either end can cover wider areas of the face as opposed to relying on my fingers. I also noticed that when I use the roller the weight of it gives the right amount of pressure; i.e. I don't need to press the roller hard against my skin.
So I would recommend getting a roller if you have similar thoughts or concerns.
If you're wondering why I grabbed the Rose Quartz roller it's purely for aesthetic purposes; I found the colour to be prettiest and matches my skincare setup. In terms of "Rose Quartz" benefits I personally do not believe in that field, and so I cannot give any comment about that.
As for how I use the roller, I always make sure to be gentle due to my sensitive skin and like to do the following:
1. Rubbing it gently on my face as is (I like to especially put in the fridge for a while since I noticed that my skin feels plumpier due to the coolness).
2. Gently rubbing in a face sheet mask.
3. Rubbing in my thicker products, especially the oils (gives my fingers a break).
I would definitely recommend getting one.
