I have short, thick and slightly curly hair, with a bit of silver. It sometimes is tough to get it under control. I tried this hairspray as soon as it was delivered, and it worked very well. Light scent, not sticky, and great price. I've used Herbal Essence products since the mid-70s when I was in high school. Still a quality brand.

I like this holding spray from the Herbal Essences brand. The holding spray hold my hair and extensions. I was skeptical about this product because I did not know whether it would work well with an African- American natural hair. My hair type is 4C and the holding spray actually held my hair fine. Also, a small comb and brush will get all the holding spray right out your hair. The holding spray takes a little bit more time to dry than other holding sprays, but it is a good product. There was no buildup on my hair or extension when I sprayed the holding spray in my head everyday. I use the holding spray as a finisher for the final phase of style. The spray smells like lilies, and exotic oils like Jojoba oil. I think this holding spray is good on a ponytail too. The spray does not leave the hair with split ends because it is a spray that sits on tops of the hair and then sink end.
