Chrome nails can be created over either a clear nail or a base color. When Chrome nails are created over a dark color such as black you will achieve a greater chrome or mirror effect. Before you start, cover the surface you will be working on with a tray, mat or towel to protect against any spillages. 1. Shape and gently buff the nail using a nail buffer. Use nail polish remover or cleanser to cleanse the nail and ensure that there is no dirt or oil left on the nail. 2. Apply 1 thin coat of SensatioNail Gel Base & Top Coat. Cure in the LED lamp. 3. Apply your chosen gel polish to your nails and cure. Apply a second coat, if necessary and cure. 4. Wipe the tacky layer with a DRY lint-free wipe. DO NOT USE CLEANSER OR ALCOHOL TO REMOVE THE TACKY LAYER. Wipe until the tacky layer is gone and the color looks matte. 5. Apply the chrome powder using the sponge applicator. Apply pressure and rub into nail until perfectly smooth. 6. IMPORTANT! Clean any excess product from around the nail using a nail brush, lint-free wipe, or your table to

This product looks chrome. You need a base color black or white, then the clear top and the powder and clear top and the powder again and looks very pretty!

Skip step 4 for best results
First, I followed the steps exactly but the powder wouldn't cover the entire nail in the chrome finish. It was spotty. I applied the clear top coat, cured and skipped stepped 4. Thats when the powder stuck beautifully. So NO wiping after you cure the base color. In some light, it does have a faint gold look. In other lighting, its a glitter speckled chrome. 4 stars because I believe the product worked without following the directions in the pamphlet provided.

Silver, glittery nails NOT wet, chrome
I bought this polish so I could have the "chrome" look as pictured on the box. I purchased a nail kit that included a lamp, primer, cleanser and other products to use along with the Chrome Polish. My nails look great but they do not look anything like the picture. Instead my nails are a very glittery silver. I am still gonna recommend the product because I like the glittery look too and I'm gonna try again using some of the suggestions others made in their reviews.
