Size up for thick socks

Nice slippers that are warm and sole is suitable for trips outside with the dog or to retrieve the mail. Unfortunately, the sole is my least favorite thing because the shoe feels rather heavy and stiff. Hopefully it will break in some with wear. I usually wear 7 1/2 or 8 in shoes but got the 9/10 in this to accommodate my thick socks .
