This high capacity MERV 13 air filter for your air conditioner or furnace provides supreme filtration for superior indoor air quality, and longer service life than typical air filters. It's sturdy 2 piece frame construction reduces dust and allergen bypass since it rests firmly against the filter holding frame in your air conditioner or furnace.

It does a great job of capturing allergens like mold spores, pollutants from construction materials, lung damaging dust, pollen, dust mite allergens, most bacteria, insecticide dust, smoke particles, auto emission particles, hair spray particles, plant spores, pet dander, carpet fibers, dog hair, cat hair, human hair, and more.

A sample of these MERV 13 filters when tested trapped 96% of large particles like pollen, 92% of particles like mold spores, and 46% of super fine allergens like cat dander in one pass. A filter's efficiency increases with each pass of air through it. HVAC systems cycle air through filters about 4 times per hour when on.

MERV 13 air filters are used when seeking LEED certification. LEED is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. After construction, before move-in, they are used along with outside air ventilation for about two weeks to flush the air of allergens generated from the build. Then, prior to occupancy, a new MERV 13 air filter is installed.
