Restored Dell Optiplex 990-D WA1-0376 Desktop PC with Intel Core i7-2600 Processor, 8GB Memory, 2TB Hard Drive and Windows 10 Pro (Monitor Not Included) (Refurbished)

I waited to write this review to make sure no other issues came up before I shared my opinion. I didn't mind the idea of buying a refurbished computer as I had purchased them before from other stores. This was however was not the same pleasant experience. I ordered here instead of Amazon because while the price was a little more but it offered 2 day shipping. I ordered on a Tuesday and delivery was scheduled for Friday. With no notice from Walmart the shipment was rescheduled to Monday. I found out about the change from UPS. I contacted Walmart and while they could not speed up the delivery they did give me a small amount of credit back to my card for my inconvenience. The computer arrived Monday after 6 pm. I went to set it up and it tells me that the date and time aren't set. Okay, no problem set those and then let it boot up...then it tells me there is NO Operating System. It is clearly advertised as having Windows 10. I called the Joy Systems tech support and was met with a cheerful recorded message that said our offices close at 530 pm EST . We had to reach out to people we knew that worked on computers. We were able to download a copy of windows 10 to a flash drive and create a boot copy(the product key for what was supposed to be on the system was on the sticker on the case, so we did not have to buy a copy) However, we continued to have issues getting it to start. So on Tuesday I called Joy Systems tech support again. I waited 30 minutes on hold so that a not-a-tech could take my information and assign a tech to my case and have them call me back before 530 pm. By the time their tech had called back I had reached out to a tech I knew that was local and we got the computer up and running. In running diagnostics, all is well now except that the PCI Serial Port doesn't have a driver and we could not find an updated one for it. However, that is not something I normally use, so I chose to just overlook it. Otherwise, the computer seems to be running well now. So in my opinion, think carefully before buying. Just because they say 2 day shipping doesn't mean much. Price seemed nice until we realized the series of issues we had. If you do not know much about computers or have someone local that you could call, I would suggest buying something else or buying it elsewhere. Price would have been good if there were no issues but now, even with the small credit from Walmart for the shipping delay, I think it was a little high.
