Beautiful but slats are rough wood
Overall, I'm very happy with this bed. The headboard is a beautiful neutral cream color. The fabric is nice. It's soft and feels good to the touch. Overall, I'm very happy with this bed. The side rails have a bit of edge that keeps the mattress from sliding which is one of the reasons I chose this bed over others. There are 2 negatives. First is that the wood slats are really rough and splintery. I was kind of shocked at first because I have bought similar beds and never one with rough wood like that. The other thing is that the slats had to be screwed in place. Other beds I've bought had a Velcro system so when it was time to move, I just had to pull the slats up and roll them away. This bed will either have to be moved unassembled or it's going to involve unscrewing all the slats again and hoping it can be reassembled. Once it was all assembled though, I felt good about it. It's sturdy. It doesn't squeak make any noise. It's perfect for a small room, a guest room and it's not childish looking. Very pretty.
