Emily and Jacob were the perfect couple and very much in love. Jacob was the only one that knew the truth about Emily. That she was a powerful witch that came from a long line of powerful witches. When a deadly plague hit their small mountain village, Jacob also became very ill. Knowing that Jacob would soon die like others in the village, Emily tried to save her husband from dying. Unfortunately something went very wrong. Emily accidentally turned her husband Jacob into a vampire a creature of the night by mistake.
To keep his family and the people of the village safe, Jacob insisted that Emily drive a wooden stake through his heart to end his curse. Unable to kill Jacob, Emily chained Jacob in his coffin until she could find a way to undo his curse. Two hundred years later, Jacob is released from his coffin by a young man named Chad. Chad becomes Jacob's his first victim in over two hundred years and Jacob's servant.
Jacob knows that his wife Emily should still be alive. Unfortunately, he is unable to find Emily anywhere. He fears that she was tried and hung as a witch years ago. Jacob and Chad search for a cure to his curse and for answers to what happened to Jacob's one true love Emily.
