Attach it to the ground.

I made a 12 x 20 foundation box made of 2X8's laid flat on the ground. Then I attached the legs' feet to the foundation boards which are attached to the ground with rebar. With ropes I attached each frame joint to individual 18" rebars which were driven into the ground. Q: Why did I go through all this work? A: Because the first carport I put together was attacked by a "Dust Devil" and went for a 200 foot flight. There were no survivors!

I priced this at Costco and other big box retailers ands found this was the best priced. The shelter is strong and easy to assemble. I am still waiting for some weather to see how it holds up. The delivery service didn't follow instaruction for delivery and scratched up the new paint on my house but this didn't apply to the product or value.
