Smooth and easy tailgate

This simple little shock is amazing. Took me about 10 minutes too install after I gathered up the tools needed. I have a 2007 Ford F150 that I had to lower the tailgate by hand for years. Now I just unlatch it and let it go. Lowers smoothly, no bang down. This mechanism is simple, easy to install and made well. Love it !!!

Easy Install - works great

2008 Silverado: The install was so simple. I completed this install with 3 wrenches and one allen tool in only 7 minutes (in the dark while it was sprinkling) I was amazed at how well it works. . . I expected it to slow down the drop of the tailgate a little, but it creates this fantastic slow drop. I wish that I had bought this years ago.

I installed the Tailgate Assist in less than 30 minutes and my tailgate now opens slowly without slamming. I no longer need to hold the tailgate as it opens. I'd buy it again if necessary!
